My website will contain my blog
In a previous article, I wrote that I was revamping my website. In the process, I always had in mind the idea of keeping my blog and website separated. My website would have been located at longzero.com and my blog would be at longzero.posterous.com.
Yesterday, I had a quick training in SEO and it reshuffled everything in my brain concerning that decision. By reshuffling, I mean that everything has been placed back where it should.
The main reason for me to design my website over again is to attract new clients. My blog has been a positive force in bringing visitors and I should harvest that power to turn visitors into clients. I realize that using Posterous as my main blog would have slowed me down, so I have slightly adjusted my plan.
My blog will remain at longzero.com/blog and it will be about design, entertainment and technology, basically, things that I focus on to bring me an income. Once in a while, I might insert an article about life.
I will continue to use Posterous and that blog will be about everything else that isn’t really relevant to anybody like talking about witches.
In keeping with my adjusted plan, you might notice that this article doesn’t appear on Posterous. I may not be done with the design of my new website, but it doesn’t mean that I won’t apply new principles right away.
