Permanently Connected
In the past, having my computer always turned on kept me connected to the internet all the time. That means it kept me connected to IM clients like AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo and even Facebook. A problem rises when I am not in front of my computer.
Sometimes people send me messages, but I don’t get them, because I’m just not there. Yesterday, I found BeejiveIM for the iPhone and that little application allows me to connect to all services and be online all the time, even when I’m not there. That also includes moments when I’m in a tunnel or wherever I don’t have network coverage from my phone carrier.
Basically, I am never really there, so if you see my name all the time, you should get out sometimes.
