Taken (2008)
Taken stars Liam Neeson as Bryan an ex-CIA preventer and a protective father with a 17-year-old daughter, Kim, who is going to Paris on vacation with a friend. Upon arrival, they are kidnapped, but Bryan gets a chance to listen to what happens and to threaten the culprits just to be wished luck in return.
Of course, you know exactly how it ends, but you still want to know what happens between beginning and end. Torture, threats, chases, guns, etc are all on the menu. As I watched this movie, I kept thinking of the show 24. Bryan is basically a tall Irish version of Jack Bauer. If 24 released a movie in theaters, Taken would be it.
Taken will be released in America in January 2009, however it already has been released in France in February 2008.
