A New Breed of Spam in the Form of a Death Threat
We are all familiar with spam and scam. Those are emails that innundate our inboxes every day. I would rather consider mnyself lucky, because my spam count is somewhere between 100 and 200 junk mail everyday. All spams are annoying. They offer you viagra. They offer you 250 million dollars. They offer you expensive softwares for cheap prices. They offer you health products. But there seems to be a new breed: death threats.
I received a death threat that doesn’t make any sense. The sender says that he has already been paid to kill me. That doesn’t make any sense, because no hitman in the world gets paid before they do the deed. The letter also has terrible grammar. Hitmen are actually intelligent people, they are very well educated whether it’s by themselves or some organization.
The price for my head also doesn’t sound right. I only have to pay $25,000 to stay alive? I don’t have that amount, so I might as well forfeit my life, but even so, it’s unbelieveably low. It sounds like this hitman only got paid about $10,000 to kill me, which is incredibly insulting!
The message keeps telling that I will get proof later that this is real. How about now? Now is too soon?
Also, I am not so good with following rules. The sender tells me not to contact the police or tell anyone, because he will know. I say: yes, you will know and so will the entire planet including planet and animals. I am blogging about it! However, I will not bother the police, unless they read this. They have more important things to do than take care of my life.
Finally, this whole thing is supposedly from “AL-QAEDA SUICIDE NETWORKS”. Aren’t these people suppose to kill themselves? I am guessing they will commit suicide in their attempt to kill me, except that it seems a lot of trouble just to get rid of me.
If you want to kill someone, threats are more effective on people who actually value life. This is a new breed of spam.
If the image of the spam is too small for you to read, just paste the following in your address bar:
