One Glance With twitter100
Twitter is a highly useful tool to obtain information and to interact with people. The service is very accessible through the web, SMS and IM, although IM hasn’t been working for weeks as of this writing. Yet, the only question is a simple one: “What are you doing?” The posted messages are called tweets. Similar services, such as Jaiku, Pownce, Plurk, etc, that offer more or less the same features aren’t quite as popular. Furthermore, there are numerous third-party applications for Twitter. This post talks about one in particular called twitter100.
As useful as Twitter can be, when many of the people you follow have frequent updates, it’s difficult to keep track of all the tweets. If you’re like me and you don’t set Twitter to send SMS, then you miss a lot when you’re away from the computer.
Twitter100 retrieves tweets from the last 100 people you’re following. Of if you’re curious about the people someone else is following, you can just enter their Twitter username.
The screenshot isn’t mine. Being very lazy, I did a search for twitter100 on Flickr and took whatever came up.
Twitter100 lets you see a quick glance of what the people you follow are saying.
