New Nokia 6682 and a bunch of free toys
I always hoped that my online portfolio would bring me a few projects and it did. When I started blogging, I never imagined to get anything from it, but it suddenly paid off.
Last week, I was contacted by Yvonne from Matchstick. I was offered to try the Nokia 6682. At first, I thought it was scam, but soon realized that it wasn’t since marmalade.ca has also been contacted and also received the phone.
The package was a huge enveloppe. In my head, I was thinking about all the waste of paper, but when I opened it, all these brand new toys poured out. Hundreds of dollars worth of toys. Rogers sells the Nokia 6682 for $389.99 with no term and $199.99 with a 3-year term.
Apparently, the rules to be part of this incredible word of mouth marketing programme is to have a blog with at least 400 hits a day, to be between the age of 22 and 35, to live in a major Canadian city (I suppose Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal), to be a customer of Rogers and to keep your blog updated with photos and videos. They expect you to use the Nokia 6682’s camera which isn’t really a problem for me as it is a 1.3 megapixels camera which is enough to take impromptu shots.
I should mention that the package also comes with a 512 megabyte memory card which is way better than memory cards that come with current digital cameras.
If you want to find out if you are eligible for this programme, let me know and I will give you Yvonne’s contact information.
As for the phone itself, I just received it an hour ago, so I can’t say much. From what I have read about it, it’s a smart phone that can send/receive emails, shoot photos, record videos, play music and probably other things that I have yet to find out.
This is a nice upgrade. Before today, I was using my old Sony Ericsson T200.

Nice. I was contacted as well, but much to my disappointment, I’m not a Rogers subscriber, so I couldn’t get the phone. Woe is me! lol
